Lucas Birdsall is a Vancouver-based venture capitalist at Parabellum Capital Strategies Ltd. He works with growth-stage companies in capital-intensive industries, including resources, technology, and pharmaceuticals. His experience includes senior executive and board roles, including CEO, CFO, Secretary, and Director, with a focus on governance, capital allocation, and operational discipline.

Birdsall holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business, with a focus on Finance and Operations Management. He regularly publishes blogs on leadership, risk management, investor communication, and long-term resource trends, including lithium, uranium, copper, silver, and gold.

Birdsall is especially interested in how companies change as they grow, specifically when informal processes give way to more structured decision-making. A lot of his perspective comes from seeing how small execution gaps can get bigger over time if left unaddressed. That lens forms how he approaches oversight, long-term planning, and discussions with management teams during transition periods.

Beyond his work endeavours, Birdsall supports Childhood Cancer Canada, reflecting a belief in directing time and effort toward charities with lasting impact.
